The Siemens FP-11RC is a reconditioned FirePrint multi-criteria smoke and heat detector. It is the Siemens FP-11 (catalog 500-095112) rebuilt to original specifications and shipped with a one-year warranty.
The FP-11 is a plug-in, two-wire intelligent detector. It combines a photoelectric smoke chamber with a solid-state thermal sensor. As a result, it uses both inputs and an on-board “neural network” to distinguish real fires from deceptive phenomena like cooking smoke or dust.
Reconditioned units are inspected, cleaned, function-tested, and recalibrated. Therefore, the FP-11RC restores a legacy Siemens panel without the cost of new-build pricing. In addition, the part covers MXL systems no longer in production by Siemens.

Compatible Panels
The FP-11 is designed for the Siemens FireFinder XLS and MXL families of fire alarm control panels. It is also backward compatible with older MXL systems at firmware Rev. 2 and above. The FP-11RC is NOT compatible with Siemens Sinteso (European product line) or with any non-Siemens addressable protocol.
How FirePrint Detection Works
The detector uses an infrared LED and photodiode in a controlled scattering chamber. In addition, a shock-resistant thermistor tracks temperature change. Then the on-board algorithms compare both signals against a library of fire and false-alarm fingerprints. As a result, the panel applies the right alarm threshold for the room type — office, computer room, parking garage, warehouse, and more.

Compatible Bases and Accessories
The FP-11 uses the Siemens DB-11 plug-in base (500-094151). For relay output, use the DB-X11RS. For audible base operation, use the ADBX-11. For HVAC duct applications, install the FP-11 in an FDBZ492 or FDBZ492-HR duct housing. To re-use an older DB-3S base, add the DB-ADPT base adapter.
