The Simplex 4100-1255 is a 3-8 channel audio interface module for 4100ES and 4100U panels.
It serves the panel’s emergency voice and alarm communication system. Specifically, it routes voice messages, alarm tones, and prerecorded audio to speaker circuits. As a result, occupants receive clear evacuation signaling during a fire or other emergency.
Simplex 4100-1255 channel capacity
The module supports 8 channels of normal-resolution messages. Alternatively, it handles 4 channels of high-resolution audio. In addition, evacuation signals can start automatically from alarm event programs. Firefighters can also trigger them manually from the operator controls.
Installation notes
The 4100-1255 is a flat module. Therefore, it mounts in the panel bay without a switch face. However, adjacent LED/switch modules are required to select specific speaker circuits.
