The Simplex 4190-9832 is an ES Net external network interface card in a red enclosure. Specifically, it connects a TrueSite Workstation or Incident Commander to the Simplex ES Network. As a result, those systems join the panel network as nodes.
Simplex 4190-9832 External NIC Overview
The unit accepts a 120/240 VAC input. It draws roughly 120 mA at that input. Therefore, it carries its own power inside the red enclosure.
The NIC provides four built-in Ethernet ports. In addition, it supports one extra media card. As a result, you can add fiber or other media to the network connection.
Network Operation
The ES network supports Class B or Class X wiring. However, TrueSite Workstation connections run Class B. Furthermore, Ports A and C can be configured for earth-fault detection.
