The Edwards 598 is a signaling transformer for fire alarm and notification circuits. It runs from a 120 V AC primary. Furthermore, it offers three secondary output options.
Edwards 598 secondary outputs
You can choose the secondary to match your load. Specifically, the options are 8 V at 20 VA, 16 V at 30 VA, and 24 V at 30 VA. As a result, one transformer covers several circuit needs.
Selecting the right output
First, check the voltage your signaling circuit requires. Then confirm the VA rating covers the load. We supply this part new. However, please call us if you need help choosing.
