The Simplex 677-201 is a 4098-series detector base without a relay. It mounts a compatible Simplex 4098 sensor head. First, it provides the wiring connection point on the addressable detection loop. In addition, it omits the auxiliary relay found on the related 677-202 base.
Simplex 4098 base without relay
This base belongs to the Simplex 4098 detector-base line. Therefore, it pairs with Simplex 4098 sensors. The companion 677-202 adds an alarm relay. By contrast, the 677-201 leaves that relay out. As a result, you choose it when no local relay output is needed.
