Resideo (959) XTP Overhead Door Magnetic Contact
The Resideo (959) is an industrial overhead-door magnetic contact with an adjustable L-bracket magnet. First mount the aluminum reed body on the door jamb. Then bolt the L-bracket magnet to the door panel. As a result, the magnet aligns to the reed across a wide gap.
The 959 is a wired intrusion contact for burglary alarm zones. It is not a fire-alarm initiating device.

Where the Resideo (959) Fits
Overhead doors flex, sag, and align poorly over time. As a result, surface-mount contacts false-alarm on overhead applications. However, the 959’s wide gap and adjustable magnet tolerate that movement.
Also, the armored cable resists damage from rolling shutters and forklifts. In addition, the epoxy seal blocks moisture and corrosion in unconditioned bays. For example, install the 959 on roll-up doors at warehouses, loading docks, and service garages.
