The Bosch B208 SDI2 8-Input Expansion Module adds eight supervised input zones to compatible Bosch B and D-series control panels. First, the module connects to the host panel through the SDI2 bus. Then it reports point status changes back for processing.
Specifically, the Bosch B208 supports either Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) initiating devices. In addition, NC circuits use a 1k ohm end-of-line resistor for circuit supervision. As a result, installers gain wire fault, short, and open detection on every zone.
Where the Bosch B208 fits
The B208 is built for dual-use installations that combine fire, intrusion, and access functions on one panel. For example, it pairs with the B9512G, B8512G, and similar SDI2 control communicators. Furthermore, multiple B208 modules can stack on one panel for larger zone counts.

The B208 holds an extensive listing roster covering its multi-application use cases. Specifically, it is listed under UL 864 (fire), UL 365, UL 609, UL 636, UL 985, UL 1023, UL 1076, and UL 1610. In addition, it carries FM 3010, CSFM, ULC-S303, ULC-S304, ULC-ORD C1023, ULC-ORD C1076, FCC Part 15, IC, and CE marks.
Installation notes
First, mount the B208 inside the host control panel enclosure or in an approved expansion can. Then wire the SDI2 bus following polarity. Also set the module’s address per the panel programming sheet. Finally, the panel polls and supervises the module automatically.
