The Notifier EQBB-D4 is a four-tier equipment backbox for fire alarm and voice-evacuation systems. Specifically, the enclosure houses distributed equipment such as power supplies, amplifiers, and multiple I/O modules. As a result, EQ-series cabinets consolidate several system components inside one ventilated enclosure.
First, the door is ventilated to support amplifier and power-supply cooling. In addition, the door locks for security. Furthermore, the heavy-gauge steel construction protects internal modules from impacts and tampering.
Notifier EQBB-D4 layout and access
The four-tier interior gives space for several rows of equipment in one cabinet. Therefore, integrators can keep an amplifier rack, a battery cabinet, and SLC modules in a single backbox. In addition, pre-punched knockouts simplify conduit entry from the top, sides, or back.
Specifically, the EQBB-D4 is the four-tier variant in the EQBB family. Alternatively, the EQBB-B4 covers two-tier installations where less mounting space is needed.
Where the EQBB-D4 fits
First, the EQ series is designed for systems with distributed audio amplifiers and large I/O counts. Then, the EQBB-D4 is the right pick when a single cabinet must hold four tiers of equipment. As a result, smaller or simpler systems usually call for the EQBB-B4 or one of the standard CAB cabinets.
