The Evax EVX-SC is a remote microphone supervisory card. The card installs in the Evax voice evacuation system.
First, the card watches the wiring path between the panel and each remote microphone. Then, it reports open, short, or ground faults back to the panel. As a result, the system stays code-supervised even when remote microphones are spread across a large building.
One supervisory card supports up to five remote microphones. Therefore, one EVX-SC is required per system regardless of how many of those five remote-mic positions are populated.
