The Notifier FDRM-1 is an addressable dual-relay / dual-monitor module. Specifically, it serves Notifier ONYX® and CLIP Series fire alarm control panels. The module combines two Form C relay outputs and two Class B monitor inputs. As a result, one SLC device handles four independent functions.
What the Notifier FDRM-1 does on the SLC
First, the FDRM-1 sits on the intelligent two-wire SLC loop. Then, it exposes two Class B monitor inputs to the panel. In addition, it provides two Form C relay outputs back to the field. As a result, one module covers up to four supervised functions.
In addition, each relay output drives a green status LED. Furthermore, each monitor input drives a bi-color LED that the panel controls. Therefore, technicians read the device state at-a-glance during commissioning and service.
