The Gentex GSR is a strobe-only LED notification appliance with field-selectable candela. First, installers pick the output during install. Then, the same SKU covers most coverage requirements.
In addition, the GSR uses LED light sources instead of legacy xenon tubes. As a result, current draw stays low. Furthermore, the appliance maintains a consistent 1–2 Hz flash rate.
Gentex GSR Candela Settings
The 24 VDC GSR offers five selectable candela settings. Specifically, you can pick 15, 30, 60, 75, or 110 cd in the field. However, the 110 cd setting is available on the 24 VDC model only.
Also, a 12 VDC version of the GSR is offered. Therefore, both common notification voltages are covered.

Installation Notes
First, mount the bracket to the back box. Then, terminate input and output wiring on the bracket terminals. After that, set the candela switch on the back of the strobe head. Finally, attach the strobe to the bracket.
As a result of the bracket design, no adapter plate is needed for most box types. Therefore, retrofit work moves quickly.
