Gentex (GTSM-W) Class a or class b gangable synchronization module, temporal 3 or temporal 4, white faceplate

The Gentex GTSM-W is a Class A or Class B gangable synchronization control module from the Gentex GTSM Series. It synchronizes Commander Series and GHSLF/GHLF Series notification appliances on a single pair of wires. As a result, the GTSM-W enables Temporal 3 or Temporal 4 patterns across multiple horns, strobes, and horn/strobes. Furthermore, it ships with a white (off-white) faceplate.

Gentex GTSM-W Specifications

The GTSM-W operates over 8–33 VDC. In addition, it works on both filtered DC and full-wave-rectified (FWR) power. Also, it operates either one Class A circuit or two Class B circuits. Furthermore, each circuit is rated for 3 A continuous and 5 A surge or inrush.

The GTSM-W produces a synchronized output for compatible Gentex notification appliances. Therefore, multiple devices on the same NAC flash and sound in lockstep per NFPA 72. In addition, the module enables the Temporal 4 pattern on Gentex GHLF and GHSLF low-frequency appliances — Temporal 4 is not available on those devices without the GTSM.

Installation Notes for Gentex GTSM-W

First, the GTSM-W must connect only to circuits that provide continuously applied voltage. Therefore, do not use this module on coded or interrupted circuits where voltage is cycled on and off. Also, the GTSM-W is gangable for higher-capacity installations. Furthermore, the white faceplate suits installations with white-trim Gentex notification appliances. In addition, the module synchronizes Gentex Commander, Commander3, GHLF, and GHSLF Series devices. However, sync compatibility is limited to Gentex products on the same NAC — third-party horns and strobes will not sync to the GTSM-W output. As a result, mixing brands on a single circuit is not supported. For complete wiring diagrams, refer to Gentex manual 550-0632.
