The Macurco HS-A is an amber horn strobe combination for gas detection systems. Specifically, it pairs with Macurco DVP-120 and DVP-120M control panels and Macurco 6-Series and 12-Series fixed gas detectors. Therefore, it provides remote audible and visual alarm at the protected area.
First, the HS-A runs on 24 VDC nominal power. Then, the user selects horn tone and strobe intensity via on-board settings. In addition, the appliance mounts to a standard double-gang box, either flush or surface.

The strobe is field-selectable at 15, 30, 75, or 110 candela. Also, the flash rate runs at 1 flash per second. Furthermore, the horn offers continuous and temporal-4 tone patterns for installer choice.

Compatibility
The HS-A is designed for use with the Macurco DVP-120 / DVP-120M panels. In addition, it works directly with Macurco 6-Series and 12-Series detector heads that provide a 24 VDC notification output. Therefore, this is the right horn strobe for a gas-detection notification circuit, not a UL 1971 fire-alarm strobe.
