System Sensor HWL-LF Low Frequency Sounder — Wall, White
The System Sensor HWL-LF is a wall-mount low frequency sounder for fire alarm notification. First, it generates a 520 Hz square-wave tone. As a result, it satisfies the low frequency requirement for sleeping spaces. This device is an audible sounder only and does not include a strobe.
Why specify the System Sensor HWL-LF
Low frequency 520 Hz tones rouse sleeping occupants better than higher-pitched signals. Therefore, NFPA 72 requires low frequency notification in many sleeping rooms. In addition, the white wall housing suits apartments, hotels, dormitories, and similar occupancies. The HWL-LF powers from a standard notification appliance circuit (NAC) at 24 volts.
Installers can also choose among low frequency tone patterns. Furthermore, the sounder synchronizes with other System Sensor appliances using a compatible panel or sync module. Finally, the HWL-LF carries a UL 464 listing for audible signaling appliances.
