The Kidde EG1RF-CVM is a red, wall-mount Genesis G1 chime-strobe for fire alarm notification. The unit pairs a low-profile chime with a synchronizable strobe.
First, the chime sounds an audible signal when the panel activates the NAC. Then, the strobe flashes at the field-selected candela rating. As a result, occupants receive coordinated audible and visual notification. Therefore, the EG1RF-CVM is well suited for occupancies that prefer a chime-style audible to a horn.

Application Notes
Always confirm the panel’s NAC voltage and current capacity before specifying. Also, choose the candela setting based on the room’s coverage and ceiling height. However, Genesis appliances require Genesis sync — do not mix sync protocols on the same NAC.
