The Kidde EG4AVWF is a Genesis LED EG4 Series wall-mount horn-strobe in white with FIRE marking. Specifically, it is the room-side wiring plate (RSWP) version of the EG4 horn-strobe. As a result, the field installer wires once at the room side and snaps the device on in seconds.
First, the EG4AVWF uses high-efficiency LED strobe technology rather than a xenon tube. Then, the candela setting is field-selectable at 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd. Therefore, one part number replaces four candela-specific SKUs in the inventory.
In addition, the candela switch sits on the front face under the cover. Furthermore, the chosen setting stays visible through a window once the cover is closed. As a result, an inspector can verify the candela setting without removing the device.
