LENEL (LNL-1300-S3) Single Reader Interface Module

The Lenel (LNL-1300-S3) is a Series 3 single reader interface module for the LenelS2 OnGuard access control platform. Specifically, it connects one card reader and its door hardware to a LenelS2 intelligent controller. Therefore, it brings a single door under centralized OnGuard control.

First, the module communicates with the controller over a 2-wire RS-485 bus. In addition, that bus supports multi-drop wiring up to 4,000 feet (1,219 m). As a result, integrators can place the board at the door while the controller stays in a closet.

What the Lenel LNL-1300-S3 Controls

The board provides one reader port for standard credential devices. Furthermore, it includes two supervised inputs and two Form-C relay outputs. Therefore, one module can monitor a door contact and a request-to-exit device while driving a strike.
