The Notifier N-ANN-I/O is an LED driver module that can drive up to 40 LEDs from a compatible FACP. Specifically, it interfaces with the panel over the ANN-BUS to drive most custom graphic annunciators. As a result, integrators can build site-specific graphic maps that mirror panel events.
The module ships in a plastic enclosure sized for installation inside a custom annunciator or accessory cabinet. In addition, the 40 outputs let one N-ANN-I/O serve a mid-sized graphic without daisy-chaining multiple modules.
How the Notifier N-ANN-I/O connects to the FACP
First, the module and the FACP communicate over a two-wire serial ANN-BUS. Then, two additional wires deliver 24 VDC power. Therefore, a single four-conductor unshielded cable can carry both data and power.
Up to eight ANN-BUS devices can share the ANN-BUS of each FACP. Furthermore, the maximum wiring distance is 6,000 feet (1,829 m), regardless of gauge. Also, the N-ANN-I/O can be mixed with other N-ANN family devices on the same bus.
