The Potter Electric Signal PAD300-4DB is a low-profile 4″ detector base for PAD300 series addressable detectors. First, it mounts to a standard electrical box. Then, any PAD300 detector twists onto it. As a result, integrators get a clean, low-profile base for the full PAD300 detector lineup.

The PAD300-4DB uses screw clamp terminals that accept 22 to 12 AWG wire. Specifically, the terminals are marked with polarity to assist with installation. In addition, duplicate terminals handle in-and-out SLC wiring at the base. Therefore, daisy-chain wiring is fast and clearly marked.
The base also includes a locking tab. Furthermore, breaking the tab off prevents unauthorized detector removal. As a result, the base suits both standard installations and tamper-sensitive areas.

Cross-reference to PAD100-4DB
The PAD300-4DB is the current-generation 4″ base for PAD300 detectors. However, the older PAD100-4DB (stock 3992731) remains the matching 4″ base for PAD100 / PAD200 detectors. Therefore, match the base generation to the detector generation when ordering. Mixing generations is not supported.
