The POTTER HUSK-20 KEY is the replacement reset key for the Potter HUSK-20 Latching Hold-Up Switch. It is sold as a separate accessory. Specifically, this is the only way to reset a HUSK-20 after activation. Furthermore, the HUSK-20 is an intrusion/hold-up device, not a fire alarm appliance.
How the POTTER HUSK-20 KEY Resets the Switch
When pressed, the HUSK-20 mechanism latches in the alarmed state. As a result, the unit holds the alarm signal until manually reset. The HUSK-20 KEY releases the latch. In addition, the status window changes from red (alarmed) back to blue (armed).
Furthermore, the HUSK-20 sends its signal to a dedicated 24-hour hold-up zone on a burglar/intrusion control panel. Therefore, this product belongs to the security/intrusion category and not to fire alarm signaling.
