The POTTER PTS-C CABLE is the 16-foot replacement cable and plug assembly. It pairs with the Potter PTS-C Plug Type Supervisory Switch. The standard PTS-C ships with approximately 8 feet of cable. Therefore, this 16-foot assembly is used when the host PTS-C must mount farther from the supervised valve. In addition, it serves as a direct replacement for damaged or worn cables.
How the POTTER PTS-C CABLE Works With the PTS-C
The PTS-C supervises a control valve by routing this cable through the valve handle. As a result, turning the valve pulls the plug from the housing. Specifically, the plug cannot be reinserted until the housing cover is removed with the supplied hex key. Furthermore, removing the cover trips the cover tamper switch.
This product is the cable-and-plug accessory only. It does NOT include the PTS-C housing or supervisory mechanism. Therefore, order it in addition to a PTS-C unit, or as a replacement for a damaged original cable.
