The RSG (DH24120FPC) is an electromagnetic fire door holder in a semi-flush mount housing with a powder-coated chrome finish. It holds fire-rated doors open during normal building operation and releases them when the fire alarm activates.
First, the magnet is energized continuously by the fire alarm system. Then the door is brought into contact with the holder and stays open via magnetic attraction. As a result, the door remains in its held position until the alarm drops power to the circuit.
In addition, the DH24120FPC accepts either 24 VDC or 120 VAC input — useful for retrofit installs that may run off building power or off the FACP’s 24 VDC release circuit. Furthermore, the semi-flush housing recesses partially into the wall for a low-profile look.
