The Siemens CRM-4 is a controllable relay module for Siemens MXL and MXLV fire alarm panels. It provides four fully programmable relays on the system. The fire alarm panel commands each relay on or off. As a result, the system controls external equipment during alarm or supervisory conditions.
Each relay can drive a separate building function. Typical uses include door-holder release, elevator capture, smoke control, and lock release. Because the module is addressable, the panel targets each relay independently.
Siemens CRM-4 Integration
The CRM-4 installs in the MXL and MXLV system through the MOM-4 expansion module. In addition, four onboard LEDs show status. Specifically, two diagnostic LEDs confirm network communication. Therefore, technicians can verify operation quickly during service.
