The SigCom DVS-RM/B is a supervised remote microphone for SigCom VECP series voice evacuation systems. It works with the VECP-25 and VECP-50 control panels.
The microphone can be located up to 100 feet from the VECP panel. From there, authorized staff can page live through the system’s speakers. Moreover, the live voice overrides the prerecorded message and alert tones.
SigCom DVS-RM/B supervision
Both the microphone and its interconnecting wires are supervised. If a fault occurs, the control board’s System LED lights. In addition, the Remote Mic Fault LED lights. Therefore, a wiring problem shows up at the panel instead of hiding until an emergency.
Enclosure
The DVS-RM/B ships in a surface-mounting steel enclosure. The hinged cover locks with a key. As a result, the microphone can sit in an entryway while staying restricted to authorized personnel.
