The Simplex 2099-9758 is a double-action, push-type manual fire alarm station. It belongs to the non-coded 2099 Series. To signal an alarm, a user pushes the bar and then pulls the handle.
How the Simplex 2099-9758 operates
Pulling the handle breaks the supplied rod and trips the annunciator contact. The handle protrudes to show the alarmed state. The annunciator contact is normally closed and opens on alarm. Afterward, a key unlocks the front to reset the handle.
Wiring and mounting
The station uses screw terminals for No. 18 to No. 14 AWG wire. For semi-flush work, use a 4″ square box at least 2-1/8″ deep. Alternatively, surface-mount it on a 2975-9178 red steel or 2975-9022 aluminum back box. The reset lock keys the same as Simplex fire alarm cabinets.
Application
This is a non-coded, non-addressable station. Its mounting height supports ADA accessibility requirements. Therefore, it fits a wide range of commercial layouts.
