The Simplex 4009-9301 NAC Extender is a self-contained adjunct panel for Simplex fire alarm control panels. It adds notification appliance power where a host panel needs more. Specifically, it serves larger commercial notification systems running on 220/240 VAC.
What the Simplex 4009-9301 NAC Extender does
The unit connects to the host panel as an IDNet slave. As a result, the host panel controls the extender’s outputs over the IDNet channel. It provides four notification appliance circuits from its own supply and charger. In addition, two conventional NAC inputs allow hardwired control.
Specifications
The AC input is 220/240 VAC, 1.5 A, 50/60 Hz. The battery input is 24 VDC, 8 A. Notification appliance power output is 24 VDC, 8 A. Therefore, the extender delivers dedicated signaling power near the appliances it drives.
Options
Several option cards expand the base panel. For example, the 4009-9808 Class A adapter adds fault-tolerant Class A wiring. Also, the 4009-9809 IDNet repeater card boosts the IDNet channel for power and distance.
