The Simplex 4009-9810 receiver is a Class B Fiber Optic Receiver with IDNet Repeater. It carries IDNet communications over a fiber link for TrueAlert addressable systems.
First, the receiver pairs with a 4090-9105 Class B Fiber Optic Transmitter at the host end. Then it accepts the IDNet signal over fiber and regenerates the channel locally. As a result, IDNet devices at a remote site keep full communication with the host panel.
The receiver card draws power from and communicates with the 4009 IDNet through 14-pin connector P6 on the 4009 IDNet system board. Therefore, it integrates as a standard 4009 daughter card rather than a stand-alone chassis.
Simplex 4009-9810 Receiver Compatibility
The 4009-9810 works with Simplex 4100ES, 4010ES, 4100U, 4120, 4100, and 4020 fire alarm panels. However, the 4100U, 4120, 4100, and 4020 require rev. 9 software or higher. Also, a Class A version is available as the 4009-9811.
