The Simplex 4098-9792 is the addressable standard base for TrueAlarm analog sensors. Its built-in electronics poll the mounted sensor continuously. Then the base reports status to the fire alarm control panel every four seconds.
The base communicates over IDNet and MAPNET II signaling line circuits. In addition, it supports automatic sensor identification. As a result, the panel applies default sensitivity when a sensor type is substituted. The 4098-9792 also includes shorting-spring contacts for SLC continuity testing. Catalog number is 0677197CN.
Mounting and Testing
The base fits standard 4″ or single-gang back boxes. Therefore, it supports both ceiling and wall installation. A louvered design directs smoke to the photoelectric head. Furthermore, magnetic test activation and an anti-tamper lock simplify service. It also logs peak values for NFPA 72 sensitivity testing.
