The THERMOTECH 302-ET-135 is a rate-compensation heat detector for fire alarm systems. It activates at a fixed set point of 135 F (57 C). Furthermore, rate compensation lets it respond accurately during fast temperature rises. As a result, it balances quick response with strong resistance to nuisance alarms.
THERMOTECH 302-ET-135 rate-compensation operation
First, the detector responds within two to three degrees of its set point. In addition, it holds that accuracy regardless of how fast the air heats. However, under a rapid rise, it responds one to three degrees early. Therefore, it reacts ahead of a slower fixed-temperature device.
Construction and listings
The 302 series is normally open and self-restoring. Moreover, each unit is hermetically sealed, nonferrous, and tamper-proof. As a result, it resists shock and corrosion. Also, the 302-ET-135 is UL listed and FM approved.
