The Wheelock EL4XMTSTA-ALW is a NEMA 4X / IP66 rated outdoor multi-tone horn strobe. It comes from Eaton’s Eluxa weatherproof line and uses an amber lens. Specifically, this model joins an eight-tone horn with an amber LED strobe. In addition, the amber lens is certified for emergency warning under UL 1971. As a result, it suits mass-notification and fire alarm systems alike.
Amber Strobe and Multi-Tone Audible
The amber strobe offers six field-selectable candela settings: 15, 30, 75, 95, 150, and 177 cd. Installers set candela on site, so one model fits many layouts. In addition, the horn provides eight selectable tones for flexible signaling. Furthermore, the LED strobe flashes for 20 ms at one flash per second. The appliance runs on 16 to 33 VDC or FWR.
Heavy-Duty Weatherproofing
First, the NEMA 4X / IP66 enclosure resists corrosion, dust, and water jets. Therefore, it performs from -40°F to 150°F. The white UV-stabilized housing also resists sun fading. It mounts on a wall or ceiling.
