The Simplex 4100-3110 is an IDNet2+2 addressable loop module supporting 250 points across 4 loops. Specifically, the card adds device-loop capacity to a Simplex 4100ES fire alarm control panel. As a result, large sites can fan out to additional IDNet loops without adding a second panel.
How the Simplex 4100-3110 is used
First, the card installs into an open expansion bay of a 4100ES chassis. Then, addressable IDNet devices are wired to the card’s loop terminals. In addition, the card supervises each loop for shorts and opens. Therefore, the panel reports per-loop fault and per-device alarm conditions back to the operator.
