Fireray (5000-007) Four-prism alignment adapter for fireray 5000

The Fireray (5000-007) is the four-prism mounting plate for the Fireray 5000 reflective beam smoke detector. Specifically, the plate is pre-drilled to hold four prisms in a single ganged array. As a result, the detector receives the additional return signal needed for long-range coverage. In addition, the plate replaces the standard single-prism layout used at shorter distances.

When to use the Fireray (5000-007)

Use this prism plate when the beam path exceeds the single-prism range of the Fireray 5000. Specifically, the four-prism plate is rated for longer-range installations within the Fireray 5000 system. Therefore, large warehouses, atria, and high-bay spaces typically call for this plate over the single-prism setup. Furthermore, ganged prisms also help where reflected signal is reduced by dust, humidity, or distance.

Mounting

The 5000-007 plate mounts on the Fireray Universal Mounting Bracket (5000-005). Also, the plate is compatible with the Adjustment Bracket 3000-201 for fine prism aim. Once mounted, the Fireray 5000 detector head’s integral alignment laser finds the prism array.
