The Resideo (621) is an RJ31X telephone jack that lets an alarm panel seize the phone line ahead of any other extension. First, the jack installs at the telco demarc. Then, the alarm panel’s dialer takes priority during an alarm event.
Resideo (621) RJ31X Telephone Jack
The RJ31X is a standard 8-pin modular jack used across the alarm industry. As a result, the 621 works with intrusion, fire, and combination control panels that include a built-in dialer. Furthermore, line seizure ensures the alarm signal goes through even if a customer is on a phone call.
Key Features
- RJ31X 8-pin modular surface-mount jack
- Line-seizure capability — required for proper alarm panel telco connection
- Surface-mount design — easy install at the demarc or NID
Compatibility
The 621 is the standard interconnect for Honeywell/Ademco panels with on-board dialers. In addition, it is compatible with the VISTA-15P, VISTA-20P, VISTA-128BPT, and other VISTA series panels. However, the 621 is the jack only; the matching 620 cord (with spade terminals on one end and an RJ31X plug on the other) is sold separately.
Ordering the Resideo (621)
Life Safety Consultants stocks the 621 alongside the matching 620 cord. Therefore, you can order both as a kit for a complete RJ31X installation. Also, in-stock orders placed before 3pm ET typically ship the same day.
