Resideo 7939WG-GY Surface Mount Magnetic Contact
The Resideo 7939WG-GY is a wide-gap surface-mount magnetic contact in gray. It pairs a reed switch with a matching magnet to monitor a door or window. First mount the contact on the frame; then mount the magnet on the moving panel.
This is a wired intrusion contact for burglary alarm zones. It is not a fire-alarm initiating device.

Where the Resideo 7939WG-GY Fits
Use the 7939WG-GY for surface-mount door and window zones. Also, the terminal cover hides any end-of-line resistor wired across the screws. As a result, EOL-supervised zones stay clean and tamper-evident.
The 1-1/4 in gap tolerates loose-fitting doors. However, for an overhead garage door, the Honeywell 959 with adjustable L-bracket magnet is a better fit.
