The Altronix AL400ULXR is a 12/24VDC power supply and charger housed in a red BC300 enclosure. Specifically, it supplies a single Class 2 power-limited output at 4 A (12VDC) or 3 A (24VDC).

First, the AL400ULXR converts 115VAC, 60Hz mains into a selectable 12VDC or 24VDC bus. Then, an integrated charger maintains up to two 12VDC / 7Ah backup batteries. In addition, the supply transitions to battery on AC loss with zero voltage drop. As a result, the unit is a common choice when the AHJ requires a red fire-rated enclosure on the wall. Therefore, technicians use the AL400ULXR for smaller NAC-extender or fire-system auxiliary power roles.

Application Note — Derate for Fire-Alarm Use
