Altronix (BC100) Small battery enclosure

The Altronix BC100 is a UL-Recognized NEMA 1 power supply and battery enclosure. Specifically, it houses Altronix sub-assembly power boards and either one 12VDC/7 AH battery or two 12VDC/4 AH batteries in a compact wall-mount cabinet.

First, the BC100 provides a 19-gauge steel enclosure with ample knockouts. Then, mounting hardware secures one of several Altronix sub-assembly boards inside. In addition, the bottom of the cabinet leaves room for the listed battery pack. As a result, integrators can field-build a compact access-control or security power node by pairing the BC100 with the right board and battery.

Compatible Altronix Sub-Assembly Boards

Furthermore, the BC100 accommodates the following Altronix sub-assemblies in the documented mounting position: ACM4, ACM4CB, AL175ULB, LINQ8PD, LINQ8PDCB, MOM5, PD4UL, PD4ULCB, PD8UL, PD8ULCB, PDS8, and PDS8CB. In addition, several Altronix transformers (T1224150, T2428175, T1656, T2856, T1250, T12100, T16100, T1618100) mount in dedicated positions inside the cabinet. Therefore, the BC100 is the building block for many Altronix-family installations where a small enclosure is acceptable.

Application Note — Enclosure Only

However, the BC100 is a UL-Recognized component, not a UL-Listed end product. Specifically, fire-alarm or access-control listing flows through the installed sub-assembly board, not through the BC100 itself. Therefore, do not specify the BC100 as a stand-alone UL 864 or NFPA 72 device.
