The Potter CHS-24AW-WP is a weatherproof wall-mount horn/strobe with an amber lens and off-white body. First, the unit produces a fixed 75 candela strobe rated to ANSI/UL 1638 and UL 464. In addition, the clear Lexan® weatherproof back box maintains full 75cd output outdoors.
The CHS-24AW-WP operates at 24 VDC nominal across a 16-33 VDC range. Furthermore, the strobe maintains at least 1 Hz flash rate regardless of input voltage. Specifically, the 75cd strobe draws 170 mA at 24 VDC regulated through the amber lens.
Potter CHS-24AW-WP tone and horn options
Field switches select Mechanical, 2400Hz, Chime, or Whoop tones. Also, you can choose continuous or temporal 3 patterns on every tone except Whoop. As a result, the reverberant output runs 70-82 dBA at 10 feet per UL 464.
Then the High/Low dBA switch tunes the level for public or private mode. In addition, the strobe and horn can sync via Gentex protocol or the Potter AVSM module.
Installation and listings
The standard WPBB back box is included for surface mounting on any wall. Specifically, the standard version measures 5.75″H × 4.75″W × 4.18″D and ships at 2.05 lbs. In addition, terminals accept 18-12 AWG wire. Also, the unit is listed under CSFM 7135-0328:0212 with a 5-year warranty.
Furthermore, the operating temperature range is -31°F to 150°F. Therefore, the CHS-24AW-WP suits parking decks, loading docks, and other severe outdoor environments.
