The potter pe-hsr horn strobe is an indoor LED horn/strobe with a red enclosure and clear lens. The face plate reads “FIRE.” Also, the strobe offers six field-selectable candela settings. In addition, the LED-based design draws far less current than legacy xenon strobes. As a result, more devices fit on a single power supply circuit.
How the potter pe-hsr horn strobe Operates
The PE-HSR provides six wall-mount candela settings: 15, 30, 75, 110, 135, and 185 cd. Furthermore, the horn offers three patterns: Continuous, Temporal 3, and T3/T4. Specifically, T3 is the standard fire-alarm pattern and T4 is the CO pattern. Therefore, one device covers both fire and CO signaling.
The strobe synchronizes through Potter fire alarm panels and power supplies using Wheelock® sync protocol. In addition, the appliance can mix in the same field of view with xenon strobes. Also, candela settings remain visible after install for AHJ inspection.
Mounting and Wiring
The PE-HSR includes a hinged mounting plate for pre-wire and pre-test. Mounting options include a single-gang box, the PE-SBB-R/W backbox, or a 4-inch square box with an adapter kit. Wiring accepts 12 to 18 AWG. Removal of the appliance creates a supervision fault at the panel.
