The Ditek DTK-MRJPOEX is an outdoor-rated single-channel PoE surge protector in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure. Specifically, it protects 10GbE Power-over-Ethernet links up to 144 W in exposed installations. Furthermore, liquid-tight cordgrips seal the cable entries. As a result, the enclosure stays watertight in rooftop, perimeter, and pole-mounted deployments.
First, the DTK-MRJPOEX uses the same hybrid SAD + GDT protection circuit as the indoor MRJPOE variants. Therefore, it clamps fast transients at the gas-discharge stage and the silicon avalanche diode stage together. In addition, surge current rating is 20 kA per pair. As a result, the device can absorb multiple lightning-induced events before replacement is required.
Also, the DTK-MRJPOEX uses shielded RJ45 in/out connectors. Specifically, it is intended for use with shielded (STP) CAT5e / CAT6 / CAT6A cable. Furthermore, it complies with IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt Type 3 and Type 4 PoE standards. As a result, it covers everything from 15.4 W cameras to 100 W PoE++ devices.

Installation Note
The DTK-MRJPOEX uses shielded RJ45 jacks. Specifically, install with shielded CAT5e/6/6A cable terminated to shielded plugs on both ends. As a result, the cable shield carries transient current to the protector’s ground reference. Also, the liquid-tight cordgrips accept a range of cable outer diameters. Therefore, follow Ditek’s installation guide for the correct gasket and torque on each gland.
