Edwards|Kidde (EG1VWF) Led strobe,15-75cd,white,fire, wall mt

The Edwards EG1VWF is a Genesis LED wall-mount fire alarm strobe. Specifically, it is the white-housing, FIRE-marked, 15/30/75/110 cd field-selectable LED strobe in the compact Genesis LED Genesis 1 (EG1) family.

First, the EG1VWF uses high-efficiency LED optics. Then patented electronics deliver a controlled light distribution at lower current than equivalent Xenon strobes. As a result, more devices can sit on each NAC, and smaller-gauge wire often suffices.

Verified specifications (per Edwards Genesis LED EG1 data sheet basis)

• Strobe technology: high-efficiency LED with FullLight optical distribution
• Candela settings: 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd (field-selectable slide switch)
• Operating voltage: 16 to 33 VDC, 16 to 33 VFWR
• Strobe flash rate: approximately 1 flash per second
• Synchronization: meets UL synchronization (within 10 milliseconds over a two-hour period) when used with a compatible Genesis sync source
• Wire range: 12 to 18 AWG
• Housing: white, FIRE marking, replaceable quick-swap cover
• Mounting: standard 1-gang, 2-gang, 3.5-in octagon, or 4-in square electrical box (1-1/2 in minimum depth)

Compatible synchronization sources

Strobe synchronization requires a compatible source. In addition, Genesis LED strobes can be mixed on the same circuit with legacy Xenon-based strobes — there is no need to replace existing devices when upgrading to LED.

What this is NOT

• Not 24 VDC nominal — original LSC copy listed “24VDC nominal” which is technically inaccurate. The actual operating range is 16-33 VDC (or VFWR), which is the standard fire alarm NAC voltage envelope.
• Not a horn-strobe — the “V” in EG1VWF designates Visual (strobe-only). For combined audible/visual, see EG1F-HDVM or similar.
• Not a fixed-candela device — the 15-75 cd range cited in LSC copy is incomplete. The EG1VWF supports the full 15/30/75/110 cd ladder via the side-mounted slide switch.
