The Edwards G1ARF is a Genesis G1 series wall horn in red with “FIRE” marking. First, it provides audible-only fire alarm notification with a temporal-pattern tone. As a result, it is the right choice for areas that require fire-marking visibility but do NOT require a visible strobe.
Important: this is a horn, not a horn-strobe
The G1ARF does NOT include a strobe. Specifically, the “A” in the LSC SKU denotes audible (horn) only. The official Edwards catalog SKU is G1RF-HD (red, FIRE marking, high-dB temporal horn). As a result, for combined horn-strobe coverage, specify the G1AVRF (LSC SKU) or G1RF-HDVM (Edwards catalog).
Edwards G1ARF features
The horn is factory-set to sound the NFPA 72 three-pulse temporal pattern (1/2 sec ON, 1/2 sec OFF, 1/2 sec ON, 1/2 sec OFF, 1/2 sec ON, 1-1/2 sec OFF, repeat). Then, a single jumper cut on the board switches the output to steady tone for coded-signal circuits. Furthermore, a second jumper cut drops the output to low-dB for areas that need quieter audible alarm.
