The Edwards EOL-47KL is a 47K ohm end-of-line supervisory resistor with pre-attached wire leads. First, it terminates a supervised fire alarm initiating or auxiliary circuit. As a result, the panel can detect open and short conditions on the wire run.
Pre-attached leads for faster installs
Unlike a bare axial resistor, the EOL-47KL ships with two flexible wire leads already soldered to the resistor body. Then, the leads land directly under terminal screws at the last device on the circuit. As a result, installers avoid the heat-shrink-over-resistor-leads workmanship issues common with bare components in field junctions. Furthermore, the lead length is sized for typical screw-terminal landings.
Where the Edwards EOL-47KL is used
The 47K value matches Edwards conventional panels and modules that specify 47K ohm EOL resistance. Specifically, many Edwards-EST initiating circuits and door-position supervisory circuits call out 47K. Always verify the panel installation manual for the correct EOL value before substitution.

What this product is, and is not
The EOL-47KL is a passive electronic component. As a result, it carries no standalone UL listing. Instead, the panel’s UL listing assumes the panel-specified EOL value is installed correctly. Therefore, do not substitute a different ohm value: the panel will read it as a trouble.
