The Mircom FHS-400-RR-WP is a weather-protected wall-mount LED horn/strobe in red. The package ships with the outdoor back box and the FHS-400-RR device. It is a fire alarm notification appliance built for outdoor and harsh-environment installs.

The horn/strobe operates across an unusually wide temperature range. Specifically, the listed range is -40 °C to 66 °C (-40 °F to 151 °F). In addition, the field-selectable candela ladder spans 15, 30, 75, 110, and 185 cd. Also, audible tones include Temporal, Continuous, March Time, and 20 BPM.
Power, wiring, and sync
The unit uses LED strobe technology for low current draw. As a result, more devices fit on a single notification circuit, reducing the need for extra power supplies. Wire sizes from 12 to 22 AWG are supported. Furthermore, synchronization works over MGC Protocol or an external sync module.
Listings and installation
Verified listings include UL 1971, UL 1638, UL 464, ULC S525, and ULC S526. Specifically, UL 1971 covers visible signaling for the hearing impaired. In addition, UL 1638 covers visible fire signaling and UL 464 covers audible signaling. Therefore, the FHS-400-RR-WP suits NFPA 72 outdoor notification at exterior walls, loading docks, and parking structures. Removable side tabs accommodate different mounting configurations.
