The Fireray 1170-000 is a detector adjustment bracket. Specifically, it lets installers aim a Fireray detector head precisely after it is mounted. As a result, beam alignment is faster and more forgiving of imperfect mounting surfaces.
In addition, the 1170-000 supports the full Fireray reflective-detector line.
How the Adjustment Bracket Helps
Beam detectors require careful aim at a reflector target. However, walls and structural-steel mounting points are rarely exactly square to the reflector. Therefore, an adjustment bracket lets the head rotate independently of the mount.
Specifically, the 1170-000 offers 360-degree rotation around the mounting axis. In addition, it provides up to 180 degrees of tilt adjustment, depending on the detector model used.
