The Kidde FX-270 is a single-action manual pull station. Specifically, it activates the fire alarm with one downward pull. Also, it is part of the Kidde FX Series intelligent small-building fire alarm family.
First, the FX-270 ships as a single-action manual station per the K85000-0373 FX Series quick reference. Then, install it on the matching P-039250 steel mounting box for surface applications.
Kidde FX-270 application
The FX-270 connects to Kidde FX-64 and FX-1000 intelligent panels. As a result, it joins the SLC loop alongside intelligent detectors and modules. Furthermore, it works on Class A or Class B loop wiring per panel programming.
Mounting options
First, order the P-039250 steel surface-mount box for back-box installation. Alternatively, mount the station to a standard recessed back box where wall depth allows.
In addition, the device pairs naturally with companion FX modules. For instance, the FX-NAC module drives Genesis notification appliances on the same SLC. Likewise, the FX-ISO isolator segments loop faults so a single short does not silence the system.
