The Kidde MPSR2-SHTW-GE is a weatherproof double-action manual pull station with single-pole contacts. Specifically, the suffix codes denote SPST contacts and hex-screw reset.
In addition, double-action operation requires a deliberate lift-and-pull sequence. As a result, accidental activation drops significantly versus single-action designs.
Kidde MPSR2-SHTW-GE operation
First, the user lifts the front cover. Then, the user pulls the handle to latch the SPST contact. Finally, the station resets with a hex tool rather than a Cat 45 key.
