The Edwards SIGA-CC2A is an intelligent addressable dual signal/riser module for Signature Series fire alarm systems. Specifically, it switches Class A or Class B notification appliance circuits onto polarized 24 Vdc or 25/70 VRMS audio risers.
In addition, the CC2A supports firefighter telephone risers with built-in ring tone. As a result, one module handles NACs, audio evacuation speakers, or telephones depending on the personality code.
Edwards SIGA-CC2A power and outputs
First, the module draws 20 Vdc from the Signature SLC at 350 µA standby and 175 µA in alarm. Then, each output switches up to 2 A at 24 Vdc. As a result, the CC2A drives substantial notification appliance loads from the loop.
Furthermore, the module supports UL 1971 strobe synchronization. Also, it supports three- and four-state telephone personality codes.
Installation
The SIGA-CC2A mounts to a standard 2-gang or 4-inch square electrical box. Therefore, it uses the Signature Series mounting plate for finished installation.
