The Kidde FX-T3T4 is a temporal tone selector module for the Kidde FX Series intelligent fire alarm panels. Specifically, it selects between Temporal 3 (Code-3) fire tone and Temporal 4 carbon monoxide tone on compatible notification appliance circuits. As a result, one set of horns can sound the correct pattern for the event type.
In addition, the FX-T3T4 works with FX-64 and FX-1000 panels per the K85000-0373 FX Series quick reference. Therefore, deploy it where the panel must signal both fire and CO events on shared NACs.
Kidde FX-T3T4 function
First, the panel commands the FX-T3T4 to the desired tone. Then, the module modulates the NAC output between Temporal 3 and Temporal 4 patterns. As a result, occupants hear the correct evacuation cadence for fire (T3) or the CO alert pattern (T4).
Application
Use the FX-T3T4 in buildings that combine fire alarm and CO detection on the same notification circuits. Furthermore, this supports NFPA 720 / NFPA 72 distinct-tone requirements for CO alarms.
