The Wheelock LEMD-M is an LED-illuminated emergency text message display for mass-notification systems. It is UL 48 listed and compliant with the Department of Defense UFC 4-021-01 mass-notification criteria.
Specifically, the LEMD-M presents two pre-defined messages — ANNOUNCEMENT and EVACUATE — using high-visibility LED illumination. First, each message activates independently. Then, only one message displays at a time. As a result, building occupants see a single clear directive during an emergency. In addition, the display is sized and positioned for placement above egress stairways or other designated areas.
