The Macurco BRS-485 is a multi-protocol RS-485 adapter for Macurco 6-Series fixed gas detectors. Specifically, it converts the detector’s 4-20 mA analog output into a digital signal for building management systems.

First, the adapter snaps onto the back of the 6-Series detector with a single screw. Then, it shares the detector’s power and 4-20 mA terminals. As a result, no separate power supply or wiring is needed.

In addition, the BRS-485 monitors sensor type, gas level, and trouble status. Furthermore, it supports four BMS protocols on the same hardware. Therefore, one adapter SKU fits Modbus, BACnet, Metasys, and Siemens FLN installations.
